Simon has lived in Wheathampstead for over 20 years with his family, where both his daughters attended St Helens school. He is a Chartered Engineer, much of his career being spent with London Underground.

Simon and his wife volunteer as Puppy Raisers for Guide Dogs, and he also helps raise money for medical and children's charities in Hertfordshire. He would like to see our villages preserve their rural character and will lobby for them to get the resources and support they deserve to remain great places to live, work, travel around, and enjoy.
