Graeme Shaw has been a resident of St Albans since 1982 and lived in the Hill End Ward since 2006. He is married and has too adult children who live in the area. Graeme holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London. He originally worked for Oscar Fabers when he first moved to St Albans, but then subsequently worked for the Oracle Corporation before setting up his own consultancy business. Graeme is involved in various local organisations and charities, including St Mark’s Church Colney Heath, STEP and Breakaway Theatre Company. His other interests include piano, gardening and cooking.

Anthony Rowlands is district councillor for Hill End and the current County Councillor for St Albans East. He's had more than 30 years' experience of being a councillor.

He's regularly in touch with the local residents, listens to their concerns and then takes the right actions at the right times to fix problems. He's particularly keen on campaigning to stop over development, as well as providing enhancements and improvements to green spaces. Anthomy believes councillors should be effective, visible and approachable. 

A native of the Isle of Wight, he has lived in the City since 1980.  His late wife, Harriet, taught at Beaumont School and both their children attended local schools.  Apart from being an avid runner – he has completed the St Albans Half Marathon 36 times – he is a devoted supporter of Burnley FC and St Albans City FC.

Jamie Day (District Councillor)

District councillor Jamie Day has lived in St Albans for over thirty years, and runs a small agricultural publishing business. Jamie has represented the Highfield Estate for 16 years. Since the Lib Dems assumed control of the Council, he has held lead roles in planning and in climate change measures. As a trustee of Highfield Park Trust, Jamie would work to maintain and develop this important community asset for the benefit of all residents.

John Hale and his family have lived in Marshalswick for over 20 years. He has been a Sandridge Parish Councillor since 2007. Since 2017 he has been the county councillor for the area. When not acting as a councillor, John is active in the St Albans Quieter Skies campaign and has a keen interest in environmental issues. For relaxation he enjoys gardening in an organic manner.
