Welsh Lib Dems kickstart election campaign in Brecon
The leader of the Welsh Democrats Jane Dodds MS visited the town of Brecon alongside the party’s candidate for Brecon, Radnor, and Cwm Tawe David Chadwick.
The pair walked the streets speaking to local residents ahead of the election on the 4th of July.
Speaking about his priorities, the Welsh Lib Dem candidate for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe David Chadwick promised to stand up for the interests of rural communities; protecting the area’s rivers from sewage dumping, improving public transport options and recruiting more dentists.
Mr Chadwick is, as of the time of writing, currently the bookies favourite to win the seat.
Commenting, the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats Jane Dodds MS said:
“I am delighted to be here today alongside David Chadwick as we kickstart his campaign to be the next member of parliament for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe.
David is the only viable winning option in this seat and a vote for him will send a powerful message to both the Conservatives and Labour that the Welsh people want change.
His dedication and willingness to provide local residents with a powerful voice makes him the perfect candidate.”
Commenting, the Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe David Chadwick said:
“I am very much looking forward to campaigning for a brighter future for the residents of Brecon, Radnor, and Cwm Tawe.
For far too long now, rural areas like these have been routinely ignored by those in power, but now I say, no more.
If elected to represent this constituency in Parliament, I promise that I will become a powerful voice for the interests of our rural communities.
I want to see an end to the neglect being shown to our farming communities, I want to see a halt on the destruction of our pristine natural environments and a strive towards better economic investment.
The Conservatives cannot be trusted, and have shown time and time again their contempt for rural communities, the only opportunity for change is to vote Lib Dem.”
