Our Conferences

Our conferences are where key decisions are made and the future of our party in Wales is shaped. Every member has an equal right to attend, speak, and vote—ensuring every voice is heard.

We hold two conferences each year: one in Spring and one in Autumn. Read on to learn more about our upcoming events and highlights from recent conferences.

Autumn Conference 2026

Park Lodge Hotel, Aberystwyth: 21st & 22nd November 2026

Provisional Timings

The full provisional agenda will be published in mid-October.

Saturday 21st November:

  • 12:00 - 17:00: The Conference — a chance to debate the issues and attend training.
  • 19:30 - Late: Conference Social — a chance to relax and meet party members from across Wales.

Sunday 22nd November:

  • 10:30 - 15:00: The Conference — more debates and training.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

 

Everyone is welcome to attend the Conference and your registration will give you access to debates in the conference hall, fringes and the exhibition. While only members of the Welsh Liberal Democrats are able to vote on motions, all members of the Liberal Democrats and Observers with relevant expertise can participate in debates. Party members and staff (party and Parliamentary) are also be able to attend training sessions.

Motions Deadline

The deadline for submitting motions to the Conference is 2pm on Wednesday 7th October.

Motions may be submitted by Local Parties in Wales, the Welsh Party Board or Committees, or 10 members of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

Motions should be emailed to conference@libdems.wales giving the name of the local party, committee or members who are submitting the motion. The name of the members who will be speaking to the motion at the Conference, both proposing and summating, should also be given in the email.

Submitted Motions will be published in mid-October, with proposed amendments to those motions needing to be submitted by 2pm on Wednesday 11th November.
