Our conferences are where key decisions are made and the future of our party in Wales is shaped. Every member has an equal right to attend, speak, and vote—ensuring every voice is heard.
We hold two conferences each year: one in Spring and one in Autumn. Read on to learn more about our upcoming events and highlights from recent conferences.
Spring Conference 2026
Leonardo Hotel Cardiff: 6th - 8th March 2026

Provisional Timings:
The full provisional agenda will be published in early February.
Friday 6th March:
- 19:00 - Late: Conference Kick-off Social — start your Conference weekend with a welcoming social full of laughter, conversation, and shared Welsh pride.
Saturday 7th March:
- 9:30 - 17:00: The Conference — a chance to debate the issues and attend fringes, training and the exhibition.
- 19:30 - Late: Conference Dinner — the conference's key social event with one of the party's brightest MPs as our guest speaker.
Sunday 8th March:
- 10:00 - 15:00: The Conference — more debates, fringes, training and exhibition.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Everyone is welcome to attend the Conference and your registration will give you access to debates in the conference hall, fringes and the exhibition. While only members of the Welsh Liberal Democrats are able to vote on motions, all members of the Liberal Democrats and Observers with relevant expertise can participate in debates. Party members and staff (party and Parliamentary) are also be able to attend training sessions.

There are opportunities to host a fringe meeting, exhibit at the Conference, hold receptions and much more.
Motions Deadline
The deadline for submitting motions to the Conference is midday on Wednesday 21st January.
Motions may be submitted by Local Parties in Wales, the Welsh Party Board or Committees, or 20 members of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.
Motions should be emailed to conference@libdems.wales giving the name of the local party, committee or members who are submitting the motion. The name of the members who will be speaking to the motion at the Conference, both proposing and summating, should also be given in the email.
Submitted Motions will be published in early February, with proposed amendments to those motions needing to be submitted by midday on Wednesday 25th February.
