Properly fund Museum Wales - Amgueddfa Cymru
Due to cuts in funding by the Labour run Welsh Government, Museum Wales - Amgueddfa Cymru is facing a crisis with jobs being axed and threats that buildings will have to close.
In 2001, then Welsh Liberal Democrat Culture Minister, Jenny Randerson, announced free entry to Wales’ national museums.
Since then people living across Wales, as well as visitors to our country, have free access to seven museums to learn about the history of Wales, from Roman times to the role that industries such as slate and coal mining have played in shaping the Wales of today.
The current Welsh Labour Government's failure to properly fund the museums has put this in jeopardy.
For far too long Wales’ heritage, arts and culture have been forced to take a backseat when it comes to prioritising government funding.
Back our campaign to stop the Welsh Labour Government from waging a war on cultural.
