George Monbiot, in an article in the Guardian on 27/11/2019 says numerous positive things about the Liberal Democrats Environmental offering:
Frack Free Ryedale Councillor Di Keal is a long term campaigner against fracking. She has been at the heart of the Frack Free Ryedale campaign as media guru against the industry in the district in North Yorkshire. She is also a founder member of Frack Free United, a cross-party coalition against the fracking industry. The campaign chalked up a key victory when the Government placed a moratorium on Fracking recently as part of their smoke and mirrors attempt to look good.
Putting "sustainable" into Sustainable Development Oli Henman is a lifelong campaigner for a fairer, more sustainable society, he works on projects to tackle the climate emergency and deliver a just transition locally, nationally and internationally. Oli is the Liberal Democrat candidate for the constituency of Lewes.
"Brexit Bakes in another Manufacturing Disadvantage for UK Businesses" Refusing to follow EU rules on energy efficiency standards will put UK manufacturers on the back foot, Andrew Warren warns. Amongst other roles, Andrew is Chair of the EU Task Group on Sustainable Construction and Energy Efficiency.
Green Energy Kamran Hussain is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Leeds North West and he has called for a more urgent move towards renewable energy in response to the Climate Emergency we all face.
