Do You Agree That Southern Water Should Compensate Our Community?

Eastbourne MP with Petition
Eastbourne MP Josh Babarinde - Calls for Southern Water to Compensate his Community

We, the undersigned, recognise that Southern Water has apologised for letting Eastbourne down.

We call on Southern Water to begin properly compensating our community for the damage and disruption they have caused, to residents, businesses, and our environment.

As a first step, we urge them to fund the reopening of our town’s Splash Pad for local families.

The Splash Pad is a valued community asset: free to use, hugely popular, and a vital space for children and parents, especially during the cost-of-living crisis. Families have described it as a “lifesaver,” showing just how important this space is to our town.

It currently costs around £25,000 a year to run and reopening it would make a real difference to families across Eastbourne.
