Josh Babarinde OBE MP - Member of Parliament for Eastbourne

Growing up in our town, getting my first job here, and proudly living here too, I know that we’ve got so much going for us in Eastbourne.

Our weather is the sunniest, our Downs are the prettiest, our community is the tightest, and our businesses are the savviest. 

I’ve got a vision for us to go even further.

I want us to be the most family friendly town in the patch. 

That’s why I’m fighting threats to the DGH’s maternity and paediatric services, brought about due to a lack of Government investment. More Eastbourne families shouldn’t have to go to Hastings for care.

I want our beaches to be the most beautiful around. 

That’s why I’m fighting for Southern Water to tackle raw sewage dumping in our sea. Water bosses should be prosecuted if that’s what it takes. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

I want our most vulnerable to be supported back on their feet.

That’s why I helped launch the town’s Cost of Living Fund to help people in poverty. Meanwhile, the last Conservative Government allowed Eastbourne’s Foodbank to become the UK’s busiest.

I want a town where everyone feels safe.

I've spent most of my working life getting young ex-offenders out of crime and into work. The challenge of tackling systemic issues in our society is what led me to stand for our town.

We need fresh vision, fresh energy, and fresh action. 

That’s what I bring as our Lib Dem MP for Eastbourne.

I love our town, and I will fight tooth and nail for it.
