Labour Aren't Listening to Welsh Farmers

Responding to the Urgent Question on the Budget’s impact on farming communities and the UK Government’s response, Welsh Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader David Chadwick MP said:

“Labour just isn't listening to farmers, they seem only too happy to throw family farms to the wolves.

"Welsh farmers have already had to put up with years of neglect from the Welsh Labour Government, including their botched Sustainable Farming Scheme, now it seems like they will also have to deal with a UK Government that doesn't understand the rural economy or rural communities.

“The Chancellor and Prime Minister need to take their fingers out of their ears, sit down with Welsh farmers and hear their concerns, and scrap this disastrous family farm tax.”
