Cut waiting times for Powys patients

Powys Teaching Health Board have announced that waiting times for Powys patients in English hospitals are going to get longer in order to reduce the health board's deficit.

This will mean thousands of Powys Patients will be waiting longer than English patients at Shrewsbury or Telford hospitals.

David Chadwick MP said: “Powys patients should not have to pay for the health board's deficit. After years of negelct, health care services on both sides of the border need better support. ”

Jane Dodds MS said: “The Welsh Labour Government should find funding to ensure that patients across Powys don't suffer.”
