Our Red Lines
No single party will have a majority in the next Senedd.
The Welsh Lib Dems will have a wedge of MSs to influence the direction of the next government. We will only support a government that adheres to our red lines, which are:
Protect the NHS
By investing in social care with a support package of at least £300m for the sector, to help hospitals focus on treating patients and bring down waiting lists.
Save our high streets
By maintaining existing rate reliefs and initiating a review into the reform or replacement of the business rates system, to conclude within the Senedd term.
Clean up our rivers and seas
Through additional funding for Natural Resources Wales and a ban on bonuses for water company bosses until sewage discharges end.
Stop independence
Keep Wales focused on the issues that matter to our daily lives, with not a single penny spent on preparations for independence.
The best start for every child
By implementing a universal package of 30 hours free childcare, 48 weeks a year, for all children from 9 months to 4 years.
