Fflint Wrecsam
Fflint Wrecsam is a new Senedd constituency which comprises the Alyn & Deeside and Wrexham Westminster constituencies
1) Tim Sly
Tim lives in Tallarn Green near Wrexham where he is a Community Councillor. He believes passionately in the importance of education and is a governor of three local primary schools.
As a small business owner, Tim runs a company which helps businesses, hospitals and schools to save energy, and has also worked for several voluntary organisations.
Tim wants to attract businesses to Deeside and Wrexham, to create more high skill jobs in the area and put more money into the local economy and into local people’s pockets.
He’s campaigning for better access to free childcare, better social care provision to relieve pressure on our overstretched NHS, and for enhanced flood prevention and protection measures for vulnerable communities in and around the Dee valley.
2) Richard Marbrow
3) Heather Prydderch
4) Lionel Prouve
5) Carole O'Toole
Born and raised in South Wales, Carole has made Wrexham her home for more than 45 years.
She has a long record of public service, having stood in both Westminster and Senedd elections, served as a Community Councillor for over two decades, and represented residents on Wrexham County Borough Council for nine years.
A retired social worker, Carole has also given her time generously as a volunteer across many sectors, including education, the Church, and a range of local charities.
6) Graham Kelly
Apart from 3 years at university and 5 years working at The Council of Europe in Strasbourg, Graham has spent all his life in the Wrexham area. He was a student at Grove Park Grammar School, Wrexham, and then studied Economics at Cardiff University. As an Accountant, he worked for Denbighshire and Flintshire County Councils but spent most of his working life at The University of Liverpool.
Graham has been a Community Councillor in Coedpoeth and has stood as a Lib Dem candidate in several local elections. He enjoys working with young people as a Governor at Ysgol Castell Alyn, Hope. He is an active member of Wrexham Methodist Church and an enthusiastic singer in several local choirs.
Graham would like to see improved opportunities for quality employment for young people in North East Wales. He is very concerned that our society is becoming more divisive and intolerant and, as an Economist, believes strongly that we should strengthen our links with Europe.
7) Mike Edwards
Mike has lived in the constituency for 50years, was a Wrexham councillor for 26 years and once Mayor of Wrexham.
He believes that Wales should take a full role within Europe and that we should treat everyone equally and fairly.
