Stop the Police Cuts
Do you support our campaign for a safer local neighbourhood? People across our community are worried about rising anti-social behaviour and know that a more visible police presence would help keep our neighbourhood safer. This lack of visible local community policing was one of your top issues in our local survey. Despite this, under Labour the Met has recently announced even more front desk closures from 37 to 19 across London, making it harder to report crimes. St Katharine’s and Wapping has also experienced one of the highest PCSO cuts in all of London under Sadiq Khan’s failing leadership of the Metropolitan police. We also know that all too often when there are large protests happening in central London or other parts of the Borough it is our community that loses it's police. That’s why we’ve seen a massive increase in the level of thefts from stores such as the Sainsbury’s on Wapping Lane and the St Katharine’s Waitrose. We the undersigned call on the Mayor of London to reverse his cuts to frontline police in St Katharine’s and Wapping
