Folkestone Lib Dem campaigner Gary Fuller has welcomed the installation of a drop curb at the junction of Middleburg Square and Bouverie Place, where many people cross from the Bus Station into Bouverie Road West.

BREAKING NEWS: Drafted ex-Gurkhas withdraw from Dover in support of Port workers
Six ex-Gurkha soldiers being trained by Dover Harbour Board to moor ships in case of an industrial dispute at the port have withdrawn from the port following a personal intervention from Lib Dem ex-Gurkha Councillor Dhan Gurung.

Gurkha killed in action in Afghanistan
A British soldier from the Folkestone based 2nd Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles has been killed in Afghanistan, according to the Ministry of Defence. The soldier, based at Shornecliffe barracks, has served in the army for almost 10 years, having joined in 1999.
