The Wandsworth Council is proposing changes to the Conservation and Heritage Advisory Committee (CHAC) that could significantly weaken protections for our historic buildings, parks, and conservation areas. These changes would require the CHAC to consider broader planning priorities, such as housing targets and economic factors, potentially prioritizing development over preservation.

Why This Matters

For decades, the CHAC has been the guardian of Wandsworth's architectural and cultural heritage, preventing inappropriate developments that threaten our community's identity.
