Frank Potaczek

Frank was born in London, raised in South London and has proudly called Southwark home for more than 25 years. He has experienced the ups and downs of living and working in the area while helping to raise a family, so understands the issues we face.

Drawing on his strong business experience, he wants to help address North Walworth’s key challenges: delivering affordable homes, improving youth facilities and providing genuine support for local businesses.

Beyond affordable housing, Southwark needs healthier neighbourhoods with safer, smarter, greener streets with investments in living spaces that promote residents’ well‑being.

Frank is an investment manager by training, with senior leadership experience ranging from UK FinTech start‑ups to global investment firms, always focused on delivering results. Over the past 10 years, he has specialised in helping firms, regulators and NGOs advance sustainable and responsible investing - doing his bit to make our world a little bit better.

Ion Martea

Ion Martea has worked for over two decades in education technology, placing opportunity and access to learning at the heart of his political priorities. An award-winning poet, novelist and critic, he is a committed advocate for equality,
championing women’s rights, disability inclusion and LGBTQ+ equality, including through his role as an officer of Pride in Southwark. Having lived most of his life in Southwark, Ion is dedicated to strengthening opportunities and improving the wellbeing of local residents.

Ignas Stankaitis

Ignas is a microbiologist scientist working in the higher education sector, with a personal focus on local sustainability and environment. Coming from Lithuania, he
has lived in London for the last 18 years, making the city truly feel like the long-term home. Living in Southwark since 2022, there is no other area he would choose to be.
 

As a strong supporter of sustainability and community engagement, he encourages the council to empower local leaders that will lead to increased level of engagement and improvement in the community’s living standards.
Coming from a STEM academic background, he is keenly aware of how important it is to have reliable decision making, especially when it comes from the local council.
If a choice is made without due research or good data, he will always call that decision out, because the local community only deserves the most reliable leadership.
