End The Soap Opera
Local Welsh Lib Dem Councillor for Colwyn Bay has called for an end to the “soap opera” in Number 10, as the UK faces its 7th Prime Minister in just 10 years.
Responding to Keir Starmer’s resignation, Welsh Lib Dem Cllr for Colwyn Bay, David Wilkins said:
“People across Colwyn Bay and North Wales are sick of being let down by an endless merry-go-round of Prime Ministers, while nothing really changes for them or their children."
“Labour promised change but we’ve ended up with the same old chaos as under the Conservatives - they're so out of touch with the people they pretend to represent. It’s time to end this Westminster soap opera and get on with delivering positive change for people in our community."
"The money spent on the by-election in Makerfield alone could have paid for two Teaching Assistants in our struggling local schools!
“That means tackling soaring bills to put money back in people’s pockets and fixing the NHS so people can see a GP. Labour MPs have proven that they are more interested in playing internal politics than fixing the country.”
