David and Jane in Brecon town centre looking angry

Give Brecon a Banking Hub

Since 2023, four banks have closed in Brecon — HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, and now Santander — leaving residents and businesses struggling to access basic banking services. Many now face long journeys just to manage their money. Jane Dodds MS, David Chadwick MP and the Lib Dems are calling for a banking hub in Brecon — a shared service run by the Post Office and funded by banks, offering face-to-face banking support.

The current rules do not allow for a banking hub in Brecon while there is still one bank in the town. We are calling for this to change, so that Brecon can have the banking services our town centre needs. Banks are making billions in profit but the Lib Dems are holding them to account.

Banks should provide essential services to the people they serve. Sign our petition below and join our call for a banking hub in Brecon.

Save our local banking facilities.

I support the Lib Dem campaign to bring a banking hub to Brecon, and call on the UK Government to change the laws on Banking Hubs to allow one to be installed.
