VOTING FOR THE SELECTION OF SENEDD CANDIDATES FOR SWANSEA WEST & GOWER HAS OPENED
The deadline for casting your vote is 12 noon on Friday 4th April.
This is a chance for party members to have your say in who the Welsh Liberal Democrat candidates are for next year’s Senedd election. Your vote could decide who will represent the constituency in Cardiff Bay.
Members eligible to vote have been sent ballot information either by email, if we have an email address for you, or post.

You will need to provide:
- Your name.
- Your Liberal Democrat membership number.
- Your postal address (and previous postal address if you've recently moved).
- The email address which you receive emails from the Liberal Democrats (if any).
- Whether you wish to vote online or by post.
The deadline for requesting replacement ballot information is Friday 28th March.

You will probably be aware that we recently commenced the process for selecting Senedd candidates for the joint constituency of Swansea West & Gower.
We are delighted to now be able to present three excellent candidates for you, our members, to decide in what order these candidates appear on our list for election to the Senedd in 2026.

Hustings – Thursday 13th March 2025 7pm
At 7pm on Thursday 13th March we will be holding a hustings to allow members to ask questions of the candidates. The hustings will take place at St Hilary’s Church, Killay, SA2 7DZ. Please do come along and support our candidates.
Voting – Single Transferable Vote
Voting in this selection for our candidates will be done electronically by the Single Transferrable Vote system, i.e. ranking your choice. Voting will open on 14 March and remain open for three weeks, until 12 noon on Friday 4th April.
If we have your email address, we will send you an email with an electronic ballot paper when voting opens. If we don’t have an email address for you, we will send you the paperwork by post so that you may vote in the traditional way.
Any member may request a paper ballot if you would prefer. Please contact Sarah Harris, Returning Officer either by email to skharris11.11@gmail.com or by post to 27 Parc Howard Avenue, Llanelli SA15 3LQ by Friday 28th March 2025 at the latest.
Furthermore, if you think that we may have incorrect contact details for you please also contact Sarah Harris, again by the deadline of 28th March 2025.
The final payment date for overdue subscriptions to be eligible to vote is 11th March 2025.
Selection Rules
The Selection process is strictly governed by Candidate Selection Rules of the Constitution of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.
