Rachel Reeves Speech Proves Labour Aren't Interested in Wales

Responding to the speech by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves on economic growth, Welsh Liberal Democrat Spokesperson David Chadwick MP said:

“It was very clear from the Chancellor’s speech today that Wales is only an afterthought for this Labour Government.

“Not one of the major infrastructure projects that would boost growth in Wales were backed by the Chancellor today.

“Far from announcing the investment areas like Wales needs, the Government has chosen to focus almost entirely on already wealthy parts of the Southeast of England.

“The idea of levelling up and empowering local communities across the United Kingdom seems to have gone out of the window.
