Comments by the outgoing boss of the Welsh Ambulance Service show why we must fix social care

Responding to comments by the outgoing boss of the Welsh Ambulance Service, Jason Killens, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS said:

“This is exactly why the Welsh Liberal Democrats have been leading the charge on social care over the last 4 years.

“Unless we are able to fix social care, hospitals will continue to be clogged up and ambulances left queuing outside, with those in need of emergency treatment being left to pay the price.

“Labour and Plaid Cymru promised to reform social care in their co-operation agreement, but have continued to kick it into the long grass.

"The Welsh Liberal Democrats will continue to make reforming social care our biggest call going into the Senedd elections. It may be hard, but unless we tackle it, everything else will continue to slowly crumble.”
