The Finance & Resources Committee

This committee looks after the money, people, and practical resources the party needs.

It:

• Writes the draft budget for the Board to approve.
• Monitors the budget throughout the year.
• Manages the party’s resources and day-to-day finances.
• Ensures we follow all finance-related laws and regulations.
• Can borrow money on the party’s behalf if needed.
• Manages financial arrangements with other parts of the party.
• Oversees financial controls and spending approval processes.
• Handles HR processes and staff-related procedures.
• Chooses an auditor for the annual accounts, for Conference to approve.
• Helps oversee the organisation of Conference.
• Leads fundraising efforts.
• Manages rules and approvals for election spending.
• Ensures party resources are used to improve engagement with diverse communities.
• Takes on any extra duties assigned by Conference or the Constitution.
