"Put People First" - a march for jobs, justice and the climate
This Saturday (28 Mar) London plays host to the "Put People First" march for jobs, justice and the climate.
More than 50 organisations are supporting the march, which is calling for - among other things - a green new deal to help rebuild the economy and create green jobs. Global leaders are meeting in London on 2nd April for the G20 meeting. We need to send a strong message. Check out the full list of demands at www.putpeoplefirst.org.uk
Put People First is a coalition of organisations ranging from environmental and development charities to unions, churches and mosques. Thousands of people from all walks of life are expected to take to the streets and send a strong message to the G20 leaders. If you can make it to London, please join them.
The march will start at 11am at Victoria Embankment and head to Hyde Park for a rally with speakers and entertainment including comedian Mark Thomas and environmentalist Tony Juniper. Visit the website for more details including a route map.
