Green Hero - Martin Wrigley
Former Mayor of Dawlish in Parliamentary bid News
Councillor Martin Wrigley has worked in the hi-tech industry for over 30 years, with a background in engineering and senior management. Growing up in a Navy family, Martin lived all over the world. Twenty years ago, he and his young family chose to settle in Teignbridge. A former Mayor of Dawlish, Martin is currently a Town and District Councillor.
"I want future generations to have every opportunity we have now - and more. We have the
technology and the desire to put our environment first and to support our community, our schools and our NHS. With the public's backing, we can build a flourishing economy
and a caring society while maintaining the ecology and beauty of our local area."
.
(Green) PR Pledge!
Along with all Liberal Democrats, Martin is convinced that politics could and should be carried out in a much more civilised way than it is and at the heart of that is the need for a more proportional system of voting. We would also find it much easier to tackle the biggest issues of the day (for example, the Climate Emergency) if Parliament`s view more closely reflected the views of the majority of the population rather than its extremes, as now! Martin has signed the Proportional Voting Pledge...
Environmental Pollution - single use plastics must go!
Environmental pollution is killing our beautiful county with single-use plastics and air pollution high on the list. Martin has been helping reduce plastics and dedicated to encouraging a new carbon free economy.
Liberal Democrats have been at the forefront of the call for banning single use plastic and this campaign is dear to the heart of Councillor Wrigley.
Making Change Happen
Martin Wrigley is a key member of the Green Liberal Democrats team which can, together, make environmental change happen in Parliament, so we'll be doing all we can to help get him elected. Will you join us?
