GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT COMMITTEE FEEBLE AND DISAPPOINTING - STUNELL

Commenting on the Government's response to the Environmental Audit Committee's 8th report on the Energy White Paper- Empowering Change, Liberal Democrat Energy Spokesman Andrew Stunell MP, stated:
"The Government's response to this report is feeble and disappointing.
"This is the most crucial long term policy facing Britain and the Government is still finding excuses to delay action on key areas such as tackling fuel poverty and improving energy efficiency in homes.
"Time after time the Government's response to the Environmental Audit Committee has been nothing but waffle."
