GLD At North West Regional Conference

The Green Liberal Democrats had a very strong presence at North West Regional conference in Widnes, March 2013.

Cllr Jane Brophy, NW Secretary and Cllr Steve Bradley, GLD Chair opened the conference with John Bridges from the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors (ALDC) with a 'Greening the North-west' panel plenary session. We then had two 'Green energy' sessions, run by Chris Nicholson (Cabinet Minister Edward Davey's special advisor), chaired by Cllr Steve Bradley, on the Green Deal. We also had an open GLD lunchtime fringe to discuss a broad range of environmental concerns that Simon Hughes MP, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats joined us for.

Finally GLD had a very successful stall, run by Peter Chivall (membership secretary) , as in the picture.
