Celebrating Brent's Diversity

Over the past few weeks, Brent Liberal Democrats have been out and about across our borough, joining local residents to celebrate Navratri, Diwali and the Hindu New Year. From the joyful dancing at Navratri garbas to the bright lights and warm smiles at Diwali gatherings, our team has been honoured to share in the celebrations with friends, families, and community groups.

We were warmly welcomed wherever we went — a true reflection of Brent’s incredible spirit of inclusion and togetherness. These events showcased the vibrant culture, generosity, and unity that make our borough such a special place to live.

Our councillors and members enjoyed meeting residents, hearing about their experiences, and celebrating the values of light, hope, and renewal that these festivals embody.

Brent’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths, and the Liberal Democrats are proud to stand with communities of all backgrounds to ensure everyone feels valued and represented.
