Candidate Charlie Clinton
Charlie has lived in Alperton since early 2021.
At 37 years old, law graduate Charlie has spent the last 17 years working in marketing & tech development—most recently within sustainability roles, while also being a part-time self-employed musician.
He has previously been an elected representative both for students at UCL, and his follow employees at a large multinational company. He is keen to devote more of his time to helping in his local community and wants to see more Liberal Democrats elected to challenge Labour’s abysmal record in Brent.
Clinton also took the fight to Labour in the general election as the Liberal Democrat candidate running against Keir Starmer.
Councillor Paul Lorber
Liberal Democrat Councillor for Sudbury
Paul Lorber has lived in Brent since 1969—first in Willesden and then in Sudbury and Wembley.
He was educated at Kilburn Comprehensive School and then Manchester University.
He was first elected to Brent Council in 1982 and served for 32 consecutive years until 2014. He was re-elected as a Liberal Democrat Councillor for Sudbury Ward in May 2022.
He has served as a School Governor since 1994 and he helps to run a Community Library in Barham Park as a full-time volunteer.
Paul is passionate about local environmental issues and campaigns on them all year round.
Councillor Hannah Matin
Liberal Democrat Councillor for Alperton
Hannah has lived in Brent for most of her life.
With a professional background working in Parliament, the charity sector and currently the NHS, as well as personal experiences of living with a sight impairment and long term health conditions following a rare childhood cancer, Hannah is passionate about utilising her professional and personal experiences to make a positive difference.
Hannah was first elected as a Councillor in Alperton following the May 2022 local elections, alongside Councillor Anton Georgiou who was re-elected, and Councillor Paul Lorber in Sudbury.
In addition to her day-to-day duties as a Councillor, Hannah has been focussed on making Alperton and Brent more accessible, improving health and wellbeing, and cleaning up our streets and green spaces for residents and visitors, as well as animals who depend on these green spaces.
