Can you help Sandgate Speed Watch?

Sandgate residents and Sandgate Parish Councillors are working with local PSCO Mark Wilson on special "Speedwatch" sessions in Sandgate to alert drivers to their speed. The Speedwatch teams use a speed indicator device jointly owned with Folkestone Town Council which displays the speed of approaching vehicles. Sessions last around 2 hours, and volunteers to run the sessions are needed - full training can be given.

Why Is Lynne Walking?

Shepway Liberal Democrat Group Leader Lynne Beaumont will be walking around Folkestone town centre for 5 days from the 2nd to the 6th November 2009. The reason for the walk is to raise funds for the Salvation Army and the Rainbow Centre, both of whom deal with homeless and vulnerable people on the front line.
