Hands off our BBC

From David Attenborough to Doctor Who, Strictly Come Dancing to CBBC, Radio 1 to Radio Shetland, we believe that the BBC is a national institution of unparalleled quality, respected around the world for its outstanding content and impartial reporting.

It has represented a beacon of hope and press freedom to oppressed people around the planet for the better part of a century.

We believe that recent threats by the Conservative government to starve it of funding are a cynical attempt to distract public attention from the scandals currently faced by the Tory party and are motivated by a ​deep-rooted resentment of the BBC's fact-based reporting.  

It's time to tell the Tory party to keep their grubby hands off our broadcaster.
