Rennie: Where is the special conference on the NHS, sewage and ferries?
Responding to comments by SNP Depute Leader Keith Brown on BBC Radio Scotland this morning that the party is “perfectly entitled” to hold a special conference on separation, after it was announced that this will now take place in June, Scottish Liberal Democrat communities spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:
“There is no special conference on helping the 1 in 7 Scots on a waiting list, no special conference on getting islanders the ferries that have never arrived, no special conference on cleaning up the sewage in our rivers and waterways.
"The SNP are increasingly out of touch.
“Scottish Liberal Democrats are calling time on this stagnated status quo. We need a government that stands up for people and communities, not one that dredges up the divisions of the past."
