Finance committee "increasingly concerned" at care service takeover bill
Responding to the Scottish Parliament Finance Committee saying they are ‘increasingly concerned’ at the lack of costings for the SNP's centralisation of care services and calling for a new financial memorandum to be produced by 12th May, Scottish Liberal Democrat economy spokesperson Willie Rennie said:
"Even the most dedicated of nationalists are coming to realise that pressing ahead with this legislation without the faintest clue how much it will cost would be a bad idea.
"This bill has been comprehensively dismantled by local authorities, trade unions and health board bosses.
"It is time that Humza Yousaf admitted that the SNP got this wrong and funnelled the money towards frontline services, rather than into a billion-pound bureaucracy."
