Personal Statement: 

I first joined the Party because of our values; fairness, localism, internationalism, but I have stayed for the large part because of the people.
 As a member of Liberal Youth Scotland campaigning for Marriage Equality as a student, and as a candidate in both target and unwinnable seats, I know the value of carrying the flag for Liberalism, and how challenging that can be.
 From our parliamentarians to our volunteers, it is the people of this party who really make it. Having sat on the Executive for the last 2 years, I hope you will trust me to represent you again, ensuring that volunteers and staff are both heard and supported.

What skills/experience will you bring to the role?

- Party Member of 16 years, with experience in the North East and Edinburgh as a campaigner, organiser and candidate.
 - Member of the current executive for the Scottish party, ensuring that members views are represented and office bearers are held to account for their decisions.
 - Board Apprentice and Independent Member of Court, University of Aberdeen; Lay Member of various Research Ethics Committees, scrutinising medical research.
 - Chair of the Shared Values and D&I committee, Offshore Energies UK

What do you hope to achieve if elected?

In the last two years on the Scottish Executive, I have worked to ensure that volunteers and staff are supported. I would be honoured to continue that work for you, as member focused champion - supporting you and party staff.
As we approach a monumental Scottish Election, experienced executive members who can give sound advice and keep a level head will be crucial - As a trusted advisor for our parliamentarians and to Chief Executives of leading UK trade associations, I have advised on strategy and protocol in preparation for Select Committee and press appearances.
