Join us in Wiveliscombe to hear James Grischeff from Somerset Wildlife Trust talk about what needs to be done to ensure we both protect and conserve nature for the future.
Our social care system is broken - and the government are dragging their heels on fixing it.
With the Independent Commission into Adult Social Care not due to make its final recommendations until 2028 - the future of carers' policy in this country remains clouded and uncertain. At this crucial moment in the history of a policy area that touches so many peoples' lives, we're delighted to have Alison Bennett, MP for Mid Sussex and Lib Dem Frontbench Spokesperson for Care and Carers, joining us for an overview of the path ahead - and how the Liberal Democrats can continue leading the fight.
Join Alistair Carmichael MP, who is visiting us from his Orkney and Shetland seat where he has been MP since 2001.
Alistair is a veteran of Parliament, and current Chair of the DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) Select Committee. He'll be interviewed on stage by our very own Steff Aquarone MP about the challenges facing farming and farming communities; and what the Select Committee has been looking at to help ensure sustainability of our food supply, environment, farming economy, and rural communities.
This is a ticketed event open to all; not just party members or supporters.
Join Arran, Afzal and Naomi, for an evening power hour in Grove Green. Volunteers old and new are welcome.
Meeting on the corner of Huxley Road and Leyton High Road. Contact is Arran Angus on 07805 331865.
The future of farming and food production has been thrown into doubt by the Government's farm tax, and put under even more stress by the sudden withdrawal of the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme, and unfavourable trade deals.
But there's even more at stake too: farming is part of our rural communities, as well as a huge stakeholder in and contributor to our beautiful natural environment.
Join Alistair Carmichael MP and Steff Aquarone MP over some food for this fundraising event, and to hear how the Lib Dems are standing up for farmers.
With your help we can provide the strong voice our farming and rural communities are crying out for. The two main parties have ignored them for far too long.
The Local Parties of the BCP Council area welcome you to Bournemouth.
