'Designating Horsted Valley as a Local Nature Reserve, is great news for the area' - says local Lib Dem campaigner

Medway Council has agreed to designate Horsted Valley as a Local Nature Reserve.

The news that Horsted Valley is to become a Local Nature Reserve is excellent news to local Liberal Democrat campaigner Viv Parker. Viv said 'I'm very happy that both halves of the Horsted Valley and the Millennium Green are being designated protection and it is very good news for the local area and for Medway. Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for this for a number of years. 

It will provide strong, long-term legal protection for the area's natural environment, and makes it significantly harder for developers to build on and safeguards the land from destruction. The designation transforms Hortsed Valley into a formally recognized and supported asset for both nature and the local community, representing a significant victory for those who fought for its protection.'
