In Praise of Allotments: A Review
Our latest fundraiser where Medway Liberal Democrats' very own professional gardener Stuart Bourne celebrated the remarkable history and lasting benefits of Allotments, with a focus on those in Medway.
Andrew is a Structural Engineer and lives in Upnor. Andrew knows the area well, and brings his knowledge of planning matters on many issues that affect the area. He is a seasoned campaigner for Medway Liberal Democrats and has stood in a number of elections, during the last 20 years, most recently winning a seat on Frindsbury Extra Parish Council as Councillor in the 2019 local elections.
Andrew was instrumental in the installation of defibrillators around our area. He proposed the use of the Frindsbury Extra Parish Council Special Project fund to be spent on defibrillators, after local residents tried to raise funds for one. The three defibrillators are located at, the King’s Arms in Upper Upnor, Upnor Sailing Club in Lower Upnor, & at the Sans Pareil, Wainscott.
Andrew is one of the Trustees for 'Friends of Broomhill' a charity to maintain, protect and enhance Broomhill Park and The Old Orchard in Strood. Andrew's interests include looking after the environment, history, and walking 'Winston' (his dog). Andrew is well known in the area and enjoys a pint, supporting the local micro pubs in the area.
