Our Local History
Since the formation of the Ealing borough in 1964, the first three Liberal councillors for Ealing were elected in the 1982 Borough Council Elections. Since then, we have held the Southfield ward for over 40 years.
In the 2022 Local Council Elections, we became the Official Opposition to the Labour-run Ealing Council, by gaining six councillors. We gained an additional councillor (Jonathan Oxley) in the October 2024 by-election.
In the 2026 Local Council Elections, we strengthened our position as the Official Opposition to the Labour-run Ealing Council, by gaining seven councillors. Currently, we have THIRTEEN councillors in Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, Hanger Hill, Southfield and Walpole.
