West Hampstead councillor Janet Grauberg has hit the headlines with her campaign to get a sloping pavement on West End Lane fixed after a year’s delay.

Her stunt to present a birthday cake to the treacherous slope caught the attention of the Camden New Journal https://edition.pagesuite.com/html5/reader/production/default.aspx?pnum=3&edid=074eba79-a3f7-4718-9b1e-fa12e6cb2d65&isshared=true, followed by the Evening Standard

the Sunday Telegraph https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/10/25/labour-led-council-fails-fix-cliff-edge-pavement-for-year/

and BBC London https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8drym7qv32o

Janet says “I’m just hoping all these headlines persuade everyone to get on with fixing it so West Hampstead residents don’t have to navigate the now famous slope for another year!”
