Alderman Flick Rea MBE recognised in Camden New Journal’s “Camden List”

Camden Liberal Democrats are delighted that Alderman Flick Rea MBE has been recognised by the Camden New Journal as one of the most influential and inspiring figures in Camden’s 60-year history.

As part of the newspaper’s 60th-anniversary edition, The Camden List celebrates sixty people who have made a lasting mark on the borough, and we’re proud that Flick’s name is among them.

Flick served as a councillor for Fortune Green for more than 35 years, becoming one of Camden’s longest-serving and most recognisable public figures. Her wit, warmth and deep commitment to her community made her speeches in the council chamber unmissable, and her work as Camden’s Leisure Chief ensured that local landmarks like the Prince of Wales Baths in Kentish Town were saved and restored for future generations.

Flick stepped down from the council in 2021 and was made an Honorary Alderman of Camden the following year, in recognition of her extraordinary service to local people.
