Tom Simon

Cllr Tom Simon

Tom has been a Councillor for Belsize since being reelected in 2018, following a stint as a Councillor in the ward from 2009-2014 where he helped open Abacus Belsize Primary School and the post office in Budgens.

As Leader as Liberal Democrat Group, Tom holds the role of the Leader of the Opposition on Camden Council, meaning that as well as standing up for the residents of Belsize on their local concerns, his work in the chamber extends to everything from scrutinising Labour policies to standing up for the values of the people of Camden - as seen in his open letter to the Prime Minister last year in response to immigration raids taking place in the Borough.

Tom is currently working as a freelance writer focusing on education policy, and lives off Haverstock Hill with his wife and young son.
