Laurence Lodge
Laurence is standing to be one of your Liberal Democrat candidates because he believes in rolling his sleeves up and getting things done. He wants to be part of delivering real change, not just watching from the sidelines.
Laurence brings professional experience working with the public sector, including in public health and military housing. Outside of work, he volunteers with the British Red Cross’s Young Asylum Seeker Programme, supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. He has also served as a trustee at Conway Hall, the world’s longest-running ethical society.
He is passionate about using these skills to secure a better deal for South Hampstead residents, particularly where the council’s failing contracts are letting people down on street cleaning, rubbish collection, and housing repairs. South Hampstead is a fantastic place to live, with brilliant local businesses and a vibrant community spirit. But there is still more to do, from improving Finchley Road, to strengthening support for our most vulnerable residents, and ensuring everyone feels safe in our neighbourhood.
