C & A Liberal Democrats Super Spring Raffle

  • 02 May 2026
  • 12.30 pm - 11.55 pm

Now that flowers are blooming and the weather is warming up, it is time for our Super Spring Raffle!

We have a bumper basket full of gorgeous gifts for the lucky winner of our raffle.

Some of the lovely gifts in our basket include champagne, a magnum of white wine and delicious chocolates. Not to mention the set of super-fashionable chocolate Labubu cake toppers!

Tickets are only £10 - buying a ticket gives you a great chance of winning our fantastic basket of goodies worth well over £100!

We are now fundraising ready to defend this constituency at the next General Election.

We know that the Conservatives are desperate to win Chesham & Amersham back. And Reform are gearing up to challenge us too.  So we need to get campaigning right now to support our brilliant, hardworking MP Sarah Green. We also need to support our wonderful team of councillors and activists, and campaign across the seat.

Together we are gearing up for activity in towns and villages right across the seat - just in case there is yet another snap General Election.

Thanks to our fantastic team of volunteers, and our new staff member Lizzie, our Chesham Office is now open six mornings a week. Having the office has really put us on the map.

All this activity, the office and a paid staff member costs money. So we would love you to support our campaign to win Chesham & Amersham again by buying a raffle ticket or two.

You might just be the lucky winner of the fabulous basket of gifts worth over £100, when the raffle closes on May 22nd 2026!

June is its peak flowering month, when campanula, lady’s mantle, nepeta, peonies, phlox, roses and salvia flourish in a traditional country garden style, with colours woven through shades of purple, pink, blue and soft lemon. Sweeping lawns surround the house, edged by deep, curving borders that enjoy both sunny and shady aspects.

A wildlife pond, old orchard, small vegetable garden and greenhouse add further charm and variety to this inviting garden.

Please note that no dogs are allowed in the gardens.

Foreign Policy in the World of Trump

Warwick District Lib Dems are delighted to be joined by Calum Miller, MP for Bicester and Woodstock and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson.

This year's Spring Conference featured a motion "Trump and the Wider World", which stated "Conference is deeply alarmed by President Trump’s systematic violations of the rules-based international order and ongoing interference in British and European politics". Calum introduced the motion, which was carried overwhelmingly.

Join us for what promises to be a lively discussion on how our foreign policy can cope with Trump's wars of words with Canada and Greenland, the kidnapping of the President of Venezuela, his war with Iran and of course, his relationships with President Putin and Prime Minister Netanyahu. The topic of Europe may well come up too.

Before entering parliament, Calum was COO for Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government and before that he worked for the Civil Service for 13 years, including working as Principle Private Secretary to Nick Clegg from 2010 to 2012.

LIBG Forum 8 June: The War with Iran; misguided, wreckless, or a necessary grasping of the nettle

Mission and misogyny: Religious charities promoting sexism, patriarchy and violence against women

  • 23 Jun 2026
  • 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm

Female subordination. Sexist 'modesty' codes. Violence against women. These are forms of misogyny we would expect charities to try to combat. Yet as the National Secular Society's ground-breaking report "Mission and Misogyny" reveals, too many charities are promoting these ideas – all under the cloak of 'advancing religion'.

Report author Megan Manson will explain how religious fundamentalists are exploiting our charity sector to promote regressive and harmful ideas about women. Her presentation will summarise the report's findings, and include video clips from sermons revealing how religious charities have used the cover of 'the advancement of religion' to promote or condone misogyny.

Megan Manson is head of campaigns at the NSS. She previously worked for the Japanese government promoting cultural exchange and language learning. She has long been active in local interfaith initiatives.
