Will you join us in representing the Liberal Democrats at this vibrant annual celebration of love, acceptance, and equality?
The Liberal Democrats have always led the way in championing LGBTQ+ rights, and our commitment remains steadfast. We believe in equality for all, and this Pride parade is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our dedication.
Let’s march together, celebrate our achievements, and demonstrate the power of unity in supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Manchester has a proud history—with former MP Councillor John Leech being the architect of Turing’s Law—and in 2023, we elected the city’s first openly trans councillor.
Please note that this event is only open to existing Liberal Democrat members, supporters, and their family members.
Please note that timings are indicative and subject to change.
In just over 150 days, we have elections right across the East Midlands (Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire).
Could you be the local champion your area needs?
Some areas, where we are strongest, your local party will likely be targeting to win. In other areas, we will be looking to field a candidate so local people have the chance to vote Lib Dem.
If you are interested in becoming a Lib Dem candidate for May’s elections, please come along to our Candidate Information Evening - we'll hear from Cllr Clare Smalley, Leader of the Lib Dems on City of Lincoln Council, about what being a Lib Dem candidate involves followed by a Q&A.
Join regional campaigns staff Eva, Craig and Patrick, along with Pete to ask any questions about the campaigns you are running. No question is too big or too small, and you are more than welcome to sit in and hear about what other local parties are doing with their campaigns. Some examples questions you might want to ask could be:
… or anything you would like advice on!
We hope to see you there!

How can demystifying digital campaigning help us win in London?
Join to find out!
Run by Campaign Manager Eva Steinhardt, this session will be practical and creative, asking participants to think critically about how they engage in digital campaigning to build support, membership, money and - crucially - votes.
Join new London Campaign Manager Patrick Gilbert to reflect on the experience of taking on Labour in a big city.
We will be thinking about the unique challenges Labour present, talking about lessons from running a Labour-facing parliamentary campaign, and looking towards future opportunities and how we can exploit them.
