Folkestone Mains Pipe Upgrading: Guildhall Street North, Copthall Gardens, Lucy Avenue and Linden Crescent [Revised Dates]
Veolia Water has rescheduled of essential mains renewal work in Folkestone, with the first scheme in Folkestone now starting in mid November. Veolia has confirmed that between 24 December and 4 January no work will be undertaken.

12,000 signatures IS a ludicrously high target
The Kent Messenger's Political Correspondent Paul Francis has written in his blog today (http://tinyurl.com/3yju3j2) about the Kent County Council E-petitions scheme. He calls the 12,000 signatures required for a County wide issue to be debated by the Council "Kent E-Petitions "a ludicrously high target". He's right - which is why the Kent County Lib Dem Group tried to halve that figure to 6,000 when the e-petitions scheme was introduced.

There have been times in my youth when events related to Remembrance have felt distant and impersonal, but this year the culmination of the 70th Battle of Britain year and the meeting of individuals, whose lives have been touched by tragedy, has made services such as this personal and emotional.
