As of July 19th, you can now walk directly from Camber to Folkestone and Folkestone to Ramsgate via the England Coast Path. The coastal stretch has been given coastal access rights by order of the Secretary of State. The Liberal Democrats believe that Ofcom Openreach "reforms" leave millions with poor or substandard broadband. BT's Openreach division, which runs the UK's broadband infrastructure, should become a distinct company within the BT group, according to regulator Ofcom.
Cheriton Road, between Castle Hill Avenue and Radnor Park Road, will be closed from July 30 to August 6 to allow maintenance work on the road bridge near to Folkestone Central Train Station. The closure will cause disruption for many motorists heading into town from the Radnor Park roundabout near Folkestone Central Train Station.

The heightened French security checks and a lack of staff at Dover had huge knock-on effects for local residents over the weekend, as roads around Dover and Folkestone became gridlocked.Queuing to reach Dover check-in on the A20 took up to 16 hours at the worst times through Saturday and into Sunday. Alhough road routes are now clear running into Dover, Police are warning of repeat issues at busy times over the summer.
