A proposal by the Conservatives to stop £150,000 of repairs needed to Folkestone's Christchurch Tower has been slammed by local Liberal Democrats.

About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Fuller backs London Citizens' Zimbabwean action day
Folkestone Councillor Gary Fuller is backing a march in London on Friday which is calling for the liberation of Zimbabweans in the UK from the limbo in which thousands currently find themselves restricted by law from being able to work in the UK.
