New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
It's time this rotten Conservative Government went. Every vote for the Liberal Democrats and Larry Ngan in Folkestone and Hythe on 4th July is a vote to tackle three absolutely key issues for our area.
FHDC Leader Jim Martin of the Green Party and Deputy Leader Tim Prater of the Liberal Democrats opted to reduce their special responsibility allowance and use that money to top up the ward grant budget.
