New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
About Folkestone and Hythe Constituency
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.
Deal Mental Awareness Day
Having experienced our own Mental Health Awareness Day in Folkestone Town Centre this week, it was good to experience a different venue for the same exhibitions. I was impressed that so many people remembered us from Thursday, and good to meet new people with displays we had not yet seen.

Canine Auction for Help Dogs
Most of us know about Guide Dogs for the Blind, but few people seem to know about Help Dogs who care for disabled people. I was invited to attend this fund raising auction and to speak about the charity.
