New boundaries for the 2024 General Election.
From the 2024 General Election, the Parliamentary Constituency of Folkestone and Hythe will include the District of Folkestone and Hythe wards of Broadmead, Cheriton, East Folkestone, Folkestone Central, Folkestone Harbour, Hythe, Hythe Rural, New Romney, Romney Marsh, Sandgate & West Folkestone, Walland & Denge Marsh.
The electorate will be reduced to bring it within the permitted range by transferring out the North Downs area in the north (North Downs East and North Downs West wards), along with the parts in the Borough of Ashford (Saxon Shore ward), primarily to the reconfigured constituency of Ashford.

An outline planning application for up to 135 homes (22% of which would be affordable), non-residential floorspace, a new pocket park, a vehicle-free green link, car and cycle parking has been submitted.
Kent County Councillor Tim Prater has questioned the business case of Kent County Council in moving their Adult Education Centre in Folkestone from Tontine Street.
The Entry Exit Scheme (EES) at Dover Port and the Channel Tunnel will be implemented from the 12th October 2025.
