ONS Figures: Support mortgage holders before it's too late

Responding to figures from the ONS showing 1.4 million households in the UK will be forced onto far higher rates when they renew their fixed rate mortgages in 2023, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson, Sarah Olney MP, said:
“The blame for these sky-rocketing mortgage rates lies squarely at the feet of the Conservative Government for crashing our economy.
“No one should lose their homes simply as a result of the Government's reckless mismanagement of our economy.
“We are calling for immediate support for those struggling to pay their mortgages before it’s too late.”
