Keegan's refusal to take responsibility a slap in the face to all pupils and parents affected

Responding to the Education Secretary's comments on Jeremy Vine where Gillian Keegan explained her expletive laden outburst by saying the interviewer was "trying to pin everything on me," Liberal Democrat Education spokesperson, Munira Wilson MP said:

"The Education Secretary's comments are a slap in the face to all pupils and parents affected. This happened on the Conservatives' watch and they have flat out refused to take responsibility.

"It is symptomatic of a government that washes its hands of every crisis and has completely lost control.

"The Conservatives have broken Britain and judging by Keegan's comments yesterday expect a pat on the back for doing so. Rishi Sunak's government is a complete and utter mess."
